نگاهی به گوهر شناسی آمیتیست و خاستگاه آن در ایران و جهان

چكيده: آمیتیست با فرمول شیمیایی، SiO₂ نوعی کوارتز به رنگ بنفش با  سختی 7 در مقیاس طبقه بندی موس می باشد که اغلب به عنوان جواهر استفاده می شود. شکل بلوری این کانی منشوری – بی پیرامیدال – پسودوکوبیک است. علت رنگ بنفش این کانی جایگزینی Si⁴⁺ با Fe⁺³   و یون های فلزی آلکالی (Li⁺, Na⁺)  یا H⁺ می باشد. این گوهر معمولا به صورت کریستال شش وجهی در سنگ های آذرین، دگرگونی و رسوبی و همچنین در رگه های گرمابی، رسوبات و چشمه های گرم و متاسوماتیک شکل می گیرد.

در کشور ایران، معدن طرود واقع در جنوب شاهرود تنها معدن قابل بهره برداری و استخراج آمیتیست می باشد. سنگ میزبان این گوهر آندزیت های  موجود در بخش جنوبی طرود می باشد. کشور برزیل یکی از تولید کنندگان اصلی آمیتیست در جهان می باشد. میزان آمیتیست های استخراج شده  از معادن کشور برزیل و شفافیت و کیفیت این گوهر ها  این ایالت را تبدیل به دومین صادر کننده جواهرات و تامین کننده اصلی آمیتیست در بازار بین المللی در جهان نموده است.

بزرگترین ژئود های آمیتیسی  در معدن Rio Grad e do sul (RS) برزیل استخراج می شودکه مهمترین رسوبات این گوهر سنگ در جهان است. سنگ میزبان این آمیتیست ها ولکانیک های کرتاسه می باشند.

A look at Amethyst gemology and its origin in Iran and the world

Abstract: Amethyst with a chemical formula, SiO₂ is a kind of quartz with beautiful violet color with hardness 7 on classification scale mohs, which is often used as jewelry. The crystalline form of this mineral is prismatic – pyramidal – pseudocubic. The reason for the violet color of this mineral is the replacement of Si⁴ + with Fe ^{+ 3} and alkali metal ions (Li +, Na +) or H⁺ are introduced to maintain the charge balance.

This gem is usually formed in the form of hexagonal crystals in igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks as well as in hydrothermal veins, metasomatic sediments and hot springs. In Iran, Taroud mine located in the south of Shahroud is the only mine that can be exploited and extracted amethyst. The host rock of this gem is the andesites in the southern part of Taroud. Brazil is one of the main producers of amethyst in the world. Most of the quality amethyst ornaments and jewelry imported to Iran are from Brazil.

The amount of amethysts extracted from the mines of Brazil and the transparency and quality of these gems has made this state the second largest exporter of jewelry. The largest amethyst geodes are mined in the Rio Grad e do sul (RS) mine in Brazil, which is the most important sediment of this gemstone in the world. The host rocks of these amethysts are Cretaceous volcanics.
